In Mikis’ courtyard : a musical performance in tribute to Mikis Theodorakis on the centenary of his birth

To mark the centenary of the birth of the great Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, we present a musical show, a living tableau inspired by his music and songs.

The story unfolds without spoken dialogue, but through the lyrics of the songs, in a courtyard in the 1960s, at a time when Greece was suffering, rejoicing, and singing! There, through the little stories of the courtyard’s inhabitants, moments of love, hope, and struggle unfold, intimately linked to Mikis’ melodies.

Mikis Theodorakis was a universal composer of international renown (who doesn’t know Zorba?), a symbol of freedom and culture. He united art and struggle, life and dreams.

The music is performed by the beloved “Triaktys,” based on a concept and staging by Christina Papanikola. The show lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (without intermission).
